Transitioning to Digital Agencies Needs

How can an artists drawing abilities help out Art and Creative Directors in their pursuit of effective Digital Advertising? In my opinion, being able to quickly convey ideas in a digital format regardless of the content is key to helping art directors develop their ideas. Just using photos from Google limits the creative process to what other creatives have already  done. Using an artist to help doodle your NEW concepts helps spark quick new possibilities that photos do not. When all the information is given to you, in a photograph, you are less likely to interpret the information in a new light. To me it is very important to let each individuals mind finish the process. Do you agree?

Creating Effective Storyboards

There is more to creating a good storyboard than being able to draw and render well. There is the need for the ability to tell a story in a sequence of visual images. If the frames don't have everything they need to direct the viewer where you want them to go, the story will not be told. But you don't want to put too much information into the frames. This can backfire by not leaving enough to the viewers imagination. In my opinion, the perfect balance with storyboards is to include all pertinent information but don't get bogged down by details. Leave those to the viewers to complete in their heads. This will  allow for more interpretation by the production crews when they go to filming the final product where the completion of the creative process takes place.
