2016 Was Great! 2017 Will be better!

Storyboards picked up for me in 2016. I'm glad I kept in touch with my clients over the years. My clients have been great people to meet and work with. I want to thank them all and all of the people that made 2016 such a great year. Of all the projects I worked on, the one that is very special to me is the Children's book "A Day In Mabel's Paws" with Author Kati Hook. This was Kati's first book and this was my first chance to illustrate a children's book.

We are working on the second book of this series. I'm also working on a book that I wrote and am currently illustrating. That will be published later this year.

It's another children's book about overcoming fear to reach your goals.

List of reasons to love Lake Michigan
1. Lake Michigan is the 3rd largest Great Lake and 6th largest lake in the world.
2. It's the only Great Lake totally within the boundaries of the USA.
3. Within Lake Michigan there is an area with a similar reputation as the Bermuda Triangle.  Mysterious occurrences, disappearances and UFO's have been reported there.
4. The Great Lakes have way more shoreline that either of our two coastlines. Great Lakes has 2165 coastline miles to East Coast 1631- West Coast 1293.
5. The worlds largest freshwater sand dunes are located along Lake Michigan shores.

Recent Commission: South Shore Style Poster For Save The Dunes

I was commissioned by the Save the Dunes Council to illustrate this poster. 

The poster will be used as an advertisement on South Shore Trains and elsewhere to inform visitors to Indiana Dunes National Lakeshore about the event celebrating multiple anniversary's. The Indiana Dunes National Lakeshore 50th - National Park Service 100th - State of Indiana 200th

The piece depicts 4 young women dancing at a dune land pageant, a common occurrence in the early days of the Dunes development as a tourist area.

Often there isn't enough time to render a color frame for a presentation..

That's where this style comes in very handy.

After Effects Animation

This is a low quality version of an After Effects animatic. It's a sample I did to show off my most recent style of illustration and my animation skills. These type of animatics are used to show research groups to test if a commercial works or not, prior to spending a lot on production.
